affordable housing efforts for the town : apartments, duplexes and houses.
It has been a major dilemma for Hanksville for a long time that there is no
place for people desiring to relocate to Hanksville. The affordable housing
measures combined with the property which has become open for sale is a major

The newly discovered Hanksville-Burpee Dinosaur Quarry is also a major project for town leaders. All involved are hoping that the cooperative efforts in applying for funding may produce a local library as well as a large visitor center / museum of natural history.
Hanksville citizens, Deborah Blackburn, Susie Hatch,
Curtis Whipple and Connie Foutz are working on the restoration of Hanksville's
oldest landmark, and endearing building which is in need of major work in
order to restore it to its original condition. This is an ongoing project
and we are in the beginning stages.
